ARCHITECT@WORK Rotterdam brings together innovation, inspiration and regenerative architecture

Publication date: 06.10.2026

On 9 and 10 September, ARCHITECT@WORK Rotterdam once again welcomed architects, interior architects, and other specifiers to Rotterdam Ahoy. During its eleventh edition, innovation, knowledge sharing, and networking took center stage, with Regenerative Architecture serving as the event's overarching theme.

Visitors had the opportunity to discover a carefully curated selection of new materials, products, and solutions, while engaging directly with manufacturers and other industry professionals. The distinctive ARCHITECT@WORK concept once again provided the ideal setting for an inspiring journey through the latest product innovations.

The educational program of the A@W ACADEMY also attracted considerable interest. Through presentations by, among others, Werkstatt, Buro Harro, BNI, FAAM Architects, White Arkitekter, and 1op1 Academy, attendees were introduced to a range of perspectives on current issues facing the architectural sector. The lectures encouraged knowledge exchange and reflection, addressing the broader question of how architecture can make a positive contribution to the built environment.

The theme of Regenerative Architecture was further reflected throughout the event's side program. The Regenerative Biobased Exhibit by SuperBio’s brought together biobased materials and products from local makers, demonstrating how material innovation can contribute to healthy living environments and ecological restoration. The Project Wall by Studio Marco Vermeulen focused on the relationship between biobased construction, nature-inclusive design, and façade development, while Natrufied Architecture showcased a variety of realworld examples of regenerative design in practice.

Art and architecture also had a place within the program. Jonas Vansteenkiste presented two works that explore the intersection of living, memory, and psychology. In addition, the NAi Book Sellers bookshop offered a broad selection of publications on architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and spatial development.

With Regenerative Architecture, ARCHITECT@WORK Rotterdam invited visitors to look beyond merely reducing the impact of the built environment. Through its lectures, product innovations, and exhibitions, the event highlighted the question of how architecture can actively contribute to restoration, biodiversity, and a future-proof living environment.

The eleventh edition of ARCHITECT@WORK Rotterdam once again confirmed the value of a platform where specifiers can discover new developments, share knowledge, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of the industry.

The next Dutch edition of ARCHITECT@WORK will take place on 28 and 29 October 2027 at the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam.
