A@W: Designing with innovation – A successful debut in the city of Valencia

A@W: Designing with innovation – A successful debut in the city of Valencia

The first edition of A@W Valencia confirms its status as a must-attend event for the architecture and design sector, securing a second edition next autumn in the Valencian capital.

A@W Valencia has concluded its inaugural edition, held on 19 and 20 November at the city’s emblematic venue, Feria Valencia, with excellent visitor turnout and strong exhibitor satisfaction across all 75 participating companies. This remarkable debut has ensured a second edition next year (25 & 26 November), reinforcing the event’s distinctive, compact, and dynamic exhibition formula. A@W prioritizes the presentation of innovative products for the architecture and design sector at a time of profound change, calling for more sustainable and responsible proposals and practices.
The democratic spirit of A@W, where all exhibitors are allocated the same space, is highly valued by participating companies. This approach encourages them to spotlight a single product and highlight its features, giving equal visibility to both established and emerging brands. This exercise in clarity makes it easier for visitors to understand each product and not only gather information but also find immediate, on-site solutions for ongoing projects. The result is a mutually beneficial exchange with direct return for exhibitors throughout the event. In addition, A@W’s meeting and lounge areas, complemented by all-day catering, help extend collaboration among professionals in a more informal setting.

The side events hosted within the venue were also very well received. The A@W Academy, through its conference series “Decarbonizing Architecture,” brought together renowned architecture studios who shared their expertise on highly relevant topics including the challenges of building with timber, more mindful interior design, and sustainability and resilience in relation to heritage and the recovery of local identity.
The Project Wall exhibition by world-architects.com presented projects that illustrate new scenarios for lightweight construction and circularity, key strategies for tackling the climate crisis in a sector responsible for 40% of global CO₂ emissions. MaterialDriven’s materials exhibition further emphasized the importance of making informed, responsible choices.

With this year’s debut and confirmed continuity, A@W Valencia becomes the fourth Spanish city, together with Barcelona, Bilbao, and Madrid, to host this unique platform dedicated to the world of architecture, which continues its international expansion. It stands as a valuable meeting point for specifiers, technical consultants, and professionals, offering an inherently dynamic format for exchange and collaboration.
